Don Walker Indoor Arena

Looking for a ‘rain or shine’ site to hold a rodeo event or regional livestock show? Look no further than the Don Walker indoor arena. There is not a bad seat in the house, as raised bleacher seating offers spectators a great view of all the action. Configure our panels and chutes to your criteria, or bring in your own set up. Attached open barn with sheep/swine/goat pens and beef tie-racks provides excellent stall space for livestock of all kinds. The fairgrounds annually hosts the Loup Valley Livestock Challenge, Shrine Circus, regional and multi-state horse shows, Shrine Circus and much more. Jim Trotter Outdoor Arena

The perfect venue for horse shows and rodeo events is the outdoor arena on the Valley County Fairgrounds. Or, let your imagination run wild and use the arena for go-kart races, a demolition derby or sand volleyball tournament. The facility boasts ample parking for spectators and participants, bleacher seating, announcer’s stand, show management/concession area and an excellent sound system.

Dorothy Palser Exhibit Hall

Whether it’s all dressed up for a wedding reception or in ‘everyday’ mode, you’ll appreciate the warm, comfortable space of the exhibit hall. Named in honor of long-time UNL Extension office manager Dorothy Palser, this flexible area showcases 4-H/ open class exhibits during the fair and is used for a variety of community events and social functions all year long. Hire the caterer of your choice, or do the cooking yourself in the adjoining kitchen. Banquets, sales meetings, household auctions and family reunions are examples of activities the room is ideally suited to host. Rent includes the use of tables and chairs. Integrated, state-of-the-art audio system and wireless internet access available with additional fee.

 




Loup Basin Technology Center

If convenience in a classroom setting is what you seek, consider our technology center. Well equipped and thoughtfully designed, the room comfortably accommodates up to 30 students. Features video conference capability, wireless connectivity, 28 laptop computers, satellite downlink, plasma screen, LCD projector and screen, and a podium presenters love to use. Plug in your laptop or bring a presentation on USB device and in just moments you are ready to begin. Additional amenities include Elmo projector, color printing, DVD/VCR player and sound system. Our on-site facility manager is available to assist you with special equipment needs, catering arrangements and local event promotion.


Conference Room

  • No set-up required;
  • In this meeting room that accommodates groups of less than  20 with ease.
  • Schedule a committee meeting or use the room for break-out sessions in conjunction with a larger meeting. This is convenience  with privacy for a reasonable price.

Multi-Purpose Room

This flexible space adjacent to the Technology Center and the Exhibit Hall is sometimes reserved for meetings or
rummage sales.

More often it is used in conjunction with one of the adjoining rooms for booth displays, a dining or bar area,
or breakout meeting room.

Use of tables and chairs is included in the low rental fee.
